VMware certifications are available in two areas of virtualization: Datacenter and Desktop. Each specialty is broken down into three distinct certification levels reflective of skill and competency level.

Enhanced Security Measures
As part of its ongoing commitment to ensuring the integrity of your VMware certification, VMware is strengthening its security measures to reinforce the value and integrity of VMware Certifications. VMware recently implemented the addition of several Pearson VUE security enhancements to its VCP and VCDX programs, including adding a digital photo to a candidate’s score report and to the Pearson VUE authentication website. All VCDX candidates will have their photo taken. Many VCP candidates will also experience this enhanced security at Pearson VUE test centers that have the new equipment.
