BLOOMINGTON, Minn., April 10, 2006 — On December 28, 2005 DANTES signed an agreement with Pearson VUE to allow DANTES Test Control Officers the ability to provide onsite computer based testing to all eligible Service members, their dependents, DoD civilians and contractors.
The agreement allows more than 580 installations the ability to offer onsite, computer-based certification and licensure testing for over 60 different programs including Microsoft, Cisco Systems, CompTIA (A+, Network+, etc.) IBM, Emergency Medical Technicians, Troops to Teachers, and many others.

As part of this agreement, Test Control Officers will be able to assist some 80,000 DoD military and civilian personnel in complying with Department of Defense Directive 8570, which mandates commercial certifications for personnel performing IT security functions.
