Veteran Executive at the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Joins Pearson VUE as Business Development Director
BLOOMINGTON, Minn., December 21, 2007 — Pearson VUE, the electronic certification and licensure testing business of Pearson, is pleased to welcome former DORA Chief Information Officer Tina Montoya to the business development team. In her role as business development director, Ms. Montoya will market Pearson VUE’s PULSE licensing management solution to existing and prospective clients.
PULSE is Pearson VUE’s premier Web-based, multi-board licensing management system. It allows regulatory agencies to streamline their entire licensing process to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Ms. Montoya is an ideal fit to educate state agencies on the benefits of the PULSE system. She brings to her new role over 26 years of IT experience with the State of Colorado, including 7 years as the CIO for the Department of Education and more recently, 11 years at DORA. During her time with DORA, Ms. Montoya worked with many licensing software systems, giving her first-hand knowledge of client needs. Leveraging this experience and familiarity, Ms. Montoya will give clients unique insight into how PULSE can provide licensees with user-friendly technology and superior customer service.
“Tina’s enthusiastic personality and experience dealing with Chief Information Officers will greatly support our growth initiatives and deepen our relationships with existing clients,” said Tom Magallanes, Executive Director for Business Development.
“The addition of Ms. Montoya reflects our commitment to attracting the best and the brightest,” added Robert Whelan, President of Pearson VUE. “Her intimate knowledge of state regulatory operations combined with effective leadership skills, IT expertise, and winning attitude makes her an extremely valuable asset to the entire company.”
