Wave Technologies Testing Switches to NCS-VUE

Wave Students Test on VUE System

San Antonio, TX, ITTA Strategies for Success Conference, April 30, 1999 — Virtual University Enterprises (VUE), a division of National Computer Systems, Inc. (NCS) (NASDAQ: NLCS), has announced that they have been selected by Wave Technologies International, Inc. (NASDAQ: WAVT), to become their primary testing partner. Wave will use the VUE Testing System to deliver IT certification exams for Microsoft, Novell and others to their customers at all of their fixed locations and at their boot camps.

Wave’s chief operating officer, Thomas Hagerty, stated, “Our decision to add VUE to our testing services was a logical business decision. VUE will allow us to improve our service to our customers and at the same time reduce our burden of operating testing centers.” Hagerty added, “VUE’s rapidly growing reputation for advanced technology and service clearly explains why they are quickly emerging as an industry leader.”

Wave expects to have the VUE Testing System installed at all of their sites immediately; their London England and Minneapolis, MN sites are already installed and delivering hundreds of exams. In addition to Wave’s thirteen fixed centers, they will also use VUE’s system in conjunction with their ‘Camp Wave’ Boot Camps (intensive training classes) held throughout the United States. Ken Kousky, Wave’s President commented, “VUE’s site-based registration and sophisticated asset management tools makes them the ideal partner for this type of training.”

“We are excited to welcome Wave into the VUE Global Testing Network,” stated Neil Crocker, VUE’s Vice President of IT Programs. “The high caliber of our company and our commitment, ‘to provide the best technology and even better service,’ is proven yet again by Wave’s decision.”
