Due to natural disasters in the United States, India, and the Caribbean islands, we are experiencing site closures in some areas. We are working diligently to contact all affected candidates by email and phone. If you have questions about your appointment, please contact customer service. We appreciate your patience.
Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards
The Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) is dedicated to ensuring that all individuals who affect the natural and built environment through the practice of landscape architecture are sufficiently qualified to do so.
CLARB’s members include the licensure boards in 48 states, two Canadian provinces and the territory of Puerto Rico that regulate the profession of landscape architecture.
CLARB supports its members, the profession and the public through the establishment of standards of competency and the preparation, administration and scoring of the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (L.A.R.E.).
Before scheduling an examination appointment with Pearson VUE, you must have already:
- Registered for the L.A.R.E. on the CLARB website, including payment of examination fees to CLARB; and
- Received the Confirmation of Examination Registration email from CLARB.
Please contact CLARB with any questions you have regarding the examination, examination requirements or the examination registration process at 571-432-0332.
Scheduling an Appointment
First-time test takers must create a Pearson VUE web account. Appointments may be made up to one business day in advance.
To create your Pearson VUE online account and schedule your appointment for the exam, you will need your Candidate ID. You can find your Candidate ID in your Confirmation of Examination Registration email.
After you schedule your test, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation letter listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.
On Test Day
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. You will need to bring two forms of ID (one must have a photo and both must have signatures) to the test center with you.
