Cooper Institute Testing

The Cooper Institute (CI), established in 1970, by Kenneth H. Cooper, M.D., M.P.H.. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit dedicated to preventive medicine research and education. Dr. Cooper is widely considered the “Father of Aerobics” and is credited with sparking today’s fitness movement. The Cooper Center Longitudinal Study (CCLS), made up of almost 100,000 patients’ records is the world’s largest health database with measured, objective fitness data. The fitness norms and standards from this database are used by all as the foundation for fitness assessments.

Scheduling

Pearson VUE offers a variety of scheduling options—

  • Schedule Test Online
  • Schedule Test Over the Phone

Registering for your test early will give you the most scheduling options. You must register with Pearson at least one business day prior to your desired test date.

At check-in you will be required to show a current government-issued photo identification with birthdate and current CPR card. It is important that you register for the exam under the exact name shown on your ID and CPR card. Otheriwse, you will not be admitted into the exam. Exam fees are non-refundable 24 hours before the exam time.

After you schedule your test, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation letter listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.
