Indiana CORE Assessments for Educator Licensure

Computer-Based Field Test

The Evaluation Systems group of Pearson is conducting a pilot test of multiple-choice items that may appear on future Indiana Virtual Instruction test forms.

To be eligible to participate, you must be licensed to teach in Indiana and have taught in an online environment for no more than three years.

Advantages of Participating

You will have the opportunity to view and respond to multiple-choice items that may appear on future versions of Indiana CORE Assessments for Educator Licensure tests. Eligible participants who register for and complete a pilot test will receive a $50 check, mailed to the address you provided.  You will receive your compensation upon verification of participation. You will be required to complete a W-9 form prior to receiving compensation and are responsible for any applicable taxes. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing.

Test Information

The Virtual Instruction pilot test consists of approximately 40 multiple-choice items and is administered during a 75-minute test session of which approximately 55 minutes are provided to complete a pilot test form.  Pilot test results will be analyzed as group data only and will be kept confidential. Score information will not be provided to participants or institutions.

Eligible participants may receive compensation for one (1) pilot test form. You are only eligible for compensation for one pilot test, even if you complete more than one pilot test. Requests for compensation beyond one (1) pilot test will NOT be honored.

Scheduling Information

Indiana CORE Assessments for Educator Licensure pilot testing begins June 24, 2014. You may schedule an appointment to take a pilot test starting June 17, 2014.

After you schedule a pilot test appointment, Pearson VUE will send you a confirmation listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of your test center, and directions to the test center.

If you are unable to keep a pilot test appointment, please cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled test time.
