Computer-Based Pilot Test

The Evaluation Systems group of Pearson is seeking juniors, seniors, and recent graduates of Minnesota special education programs to participate in a pilot test of multiple-choice items that may appear on future Special Education Core Skills test forms. Pilot test participants will receive compensation upon verification of participation.

Advantages of Participating

You will have the opportunity to view and respond to multiple-choice test items that may appear on future versions of Special Education Core Skills exams. Participants who register for and complete the 90-minute pilot test will receive a $50 electronic coupon code for Penguin Books. The Penguin Books electronic coupon code may be used to purchase books, audio books, and other gifts at www.penguin.com. All Penguin Books electronic coupon codes will be sent by email, are valid for one shopping session, and expire 60 days from the date of issue.

Test Information

The Special Education Core Skills Pilot Test is approximately 90 minutes in length and contains approximately 75 multiple-choice items. Eligible candidates may register for this pilot test twice. The second registration can only be scheduled after the first pilot test session is completed (consecutive pilot test appointments are not available).

Pilot test results will be analyzed as group data only and will be kept confidential. Score information will not be provided to participants.

Scheduling Information

Special Education Core Skills pilot testing begins March 25, 2013. You may schedule an appointment to take the pilot test starting March 18, 2013.

After you schedule a pilot test appointment, Pearson VUE will send you a confirmation listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of your test center, and directions to the test center.
