HBX CORe final examination
The CORe final examination is offered to CORe participants for the course(s) which they have completed. The final examination has been created by HBS faculty and is administered by Pearson VUE. Receiving a passing exam score on all three courses (Financial Accounting, Economics for Managers, and Business Analytics) is required in order to receive the CORe credential.
To schedule your exam:
Create a Pearson VUE Account
The first time you schedule an appointment to take your HBX examinations you will need to create an account with Pearson VUE. You will be asked to enter your HBX ID and your first and last name. Please be sure to enter your name exactly as it appears within your HBX account.
Locate a Testing Center
Locate a Test Center to view the locations authorized to administer the CORe final examination.
Select a Date and Time
Sign in to your account and select a date and time for your exam. All available dates will be presented to you for the location you have selected. After you schedule your exam, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation email with all pertinent exam information.
Reschedule or Cancel
Appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled through your Pearson VUE account up to 72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. If you need to reschedule or cancel within 72 hours of your scheduled appointment, you must contact HBX at HBXsupport@hbs.edu. We cannot guarantee approval of requests made within 72 hours of your scheduled exam.
If you previously requested disability accommodations with HBX, please do not schedule your exam online. Instead, please use the designated Pearson contact information HBX provided upon approval of your accommodation. If you did not already request disability accommodation but wish to do so, please contact us at email@example.com. We will then walk you through the necessary documentation to receive an accommodation. Please note: if you have already scheduled an exam appointment, you will need to cancel the appointment before we are able to load you into the Pearson VUE system as a participant with an approved accommodation.
