Nurse Entrance Test
Sponsored through Educational Resources, Inc.
The Nurse Entrance Test (NET) was developed by Educational Resources, Inc. (ERI) to assist schools of nursing in the guidance and placement of applicants seeking to become nurses. The NET assesses:
- Essential math skills
- Science reading comprehension
- Written expression (grammar)
The questions provided with this entrance test assess the knowledge of subjects studied in high school, while other questions are concerned with application of knowledge in everyday living. These three important sections generate your final NET Score. This composite score will then be provided to the nursing school that you are seeking to gain admission.
Two versions of the NET are available for scheduling:
- The Connecticut Technical High School System’s version will assess the applicant’s knowledge in the areas of essential math skills, science reading comprehension and written expression.
- The original version of the NET will assess the same three areas listed above. This version will also include four additional sections; stress levels, learning styles, basic science and test taking skills.
