NSCP Testing
NSCP is the only nonprofit professional association representing the compliance professional exclusively. The organization serves its members and the industry through education and information. Since our founding in 1987, our membership has grown to over 1,700 in number and spans from broker-dealers, investment advisers, bank and insurance firms, to law and accounting firms. NSCP offers practical and interpretive guidance on compliance-related matters; alerts its members to important regulatory developments; sponsors educational meetings that serve as forums for exchanging ideas and information; provides professional analyses and counsel in regard to securities laws and regulations authorized by the states, federal agencies and the self-regulatory agencies (e.g. FINRA); and promotes professionalism among compliance officials within the securities industry.

Although the tutorial demonstrates many item types and formats, the CSCP examination only contains four-option, multiple choice questions. There is only ONE correct answer to each question.
International Expansion
Beginning June 15, 2009, the CSCP examination will be available worldwide at 244 Pearson Professional Centers in 26 countries. The fee for taking the CSCP exam at an internationally authorized Pearson Professional Center is $725 per candidate, per incident. All current policies, procedures, and processes remain the same (e.g. eligibility criteria, registration, scheduling). The CSCP exam is only offered in English.
Scheduling Information
- Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. NSCP does not recommend waiting until the last moment to schedule an appointment; if there is no availability, you will forfeit your application and examination fee.
- Appointments may be scheduled a minimum of one business day and a maximum of six months in advance.
- Test centers do not permit walk-ins. Appointments must be scheduled before arriving at the test center.
Important Information
Reschedule Policy
Beginning April 1, 2009, candidates requesting to reschedule their CSCP® testing appointment will now be required to pay a $50 administrative fee at the time the exam is rescheduled. Candidates may reschedule their exam appointment online or through the toll-free number, 888-269-2219. This reschedule transaction must be completed at least one (1) business day prior to the candidate’s scheduled appointment.
Cancel Policy
NSCP’s previous policy dictated that candidates requesting to cancel their CSCP® testing appointment would receive a refund less a $95 administrative fee. Beginning April 1, 2009, this fee will now be collected at the time the exam is cancelled. Candidates may cancel their exam appointment online or through the toll-free number, 888-269-2219. This cancel transaction must be completed at least one (1) business day prior to the candidate’s scheduled appointment.
No Shows and Late Arrivals
If a candidate does not contact Pearson VUE at least one business day prior to their scheduled appointment and fail to appear for their scheduled appointment, their application fee will be forfeited. A complete application and examination fee will be required to reapply.
Candidates who fail to appear for the examination or arrive at the test center more than 15 minutes late for their appointment will not be permitted to test. A complete application and examination fee will be required to reapply.
Emergencies
In the event of a personal emergency, a candidate may request consideration to reschedule the examination without paying an additional fee by contacting NSCP in writing within 30 days of the scheduled testing session. A description of the emergency and supporting documentation must be submitted with the request. Rescheduling without an additional fee will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
