PTE Professional™ was created to fulfill a need within the global business market to more accurately and efficiently assess a candidate’s ability to apply comprehensive English communication skills in a professional setting.

Developed by Pearson, the world’s largest education company, PTE Professional™ provides a more accurate assessment of a candidate’s ability to use English in everyday workplace situations like:

  • Comprehending and participating on a conference call
  • Conversing with a client on the telephone
  • Taking dictation
  • Presenting information in a business meeting

Test duration

The test takes approximately 120 minutes and comprises a combination of multiple choice and full response questions.

This automated approach is not only fast, but it also eliminates the potential for human error or bias.

Score Report

In-depth score report breaks down English communication skills

PTE Professional™ scores map to the Common European Framework (CEFR).

High security

Pearson VUE security measures are unparalleled. The test registration and the check-in processes verify a candidate’s identity, and a digital photo and signature are captured to deter proxy testing. This photo also appears on the candidate’s score report to ensure authentication. Additional security measures include:
