The Certified Health Informatics Systems Professional (CHISP®) health IT certification exam and credential designates a qualified professional capable to meet the needs of hospitals and physicians as they move to adopt electronic health care systems (electronic medical records – EMRs and electronic health records – EHRs). Professionals who have passed the CHISP® health IT certification have met meticulous testing requirements and have demonstrated the technical and health care industry knowledge required to support the needs of physicians implementing electronic health care systems, such as electronic health records (EHR), electronic medical records (EMR), and community and regional health information exchange (HIE).
