“The licensing of pharmacists is a critical part of our healthcare system,” said Robert Whelan, Pearson VUE president and chief executive officer. “We are honored NABP has determined that Pearson Professional Centers are the best-in-class environment to assess such important qualifications.”

About NABP
The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy assists its member state boards and jurisdictions in developing, implementing, and enforcing uniform standards for the purpose of protecting the public health. In addition, NABP uses its AWARxE Consumer Protection Program to combat prescription drug abuse. All boards of pharmacy in the United States, District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands utilize NABP’s NAPLEX as one component to assess the competence of candidates seeking pharmacist licensure. Nearly all the boards also use the MPJE, a combination of federal and state-specific law questions, as their state law examination, which is one of several factors used in determining a candidate’s eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist.
