Pearson VUE congratulates its partner, Microsoft, on receiving the 2025 ITCC Innovation Award. This prestigious recognition highlights advancements that are shaping the future of IT certification.
In collaboration with Microsoft and ITS, we are proud to have contributed to this achievement: secure, in-exam access to Microsoft Learn. This innovative feature lets candidates consult live documentation during role-specific examinations for the first time, enhancing accessibility, realism, and relevance — while preserving exam integrity.
Following the business rules designed by Microsoft, we developed a Lockdown Browser (a custom browser that locks down the exam environment within specific learning and assessment systems) to support running Microsoft Learn in all Pearson VUE test delivery models. We also facilitated a timely rollout across our worldwide test center network, operationalized support and training for proctors, and ensured the solution is accessible.
“This award exemplifies the transformative impact of partnerships and collaboration,” said Dr. Gary Gates, Managing Director, Pearson VUE. “By uniting our strengths, we’re tackling critical skills shortages and pioneering innovative methods that are transforming the test-taker experience, making exams more equitable and meaningful for candidates while driving progress in the professional landscape.”
We’re proud to support efforts that improve the certification experience, making it smarter, more accessible, and fairer. Congratulations again to Microsoft on this well-deserved honor.
