ABPD Certification Testing

Coordinated through Data Recognition Corporation.

The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) is sponsored by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and was founded in 1942. The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is the only certifying board for the specialty of pediatric dentistry and is one of the nine specialty boards recognized by the American Dental Association.

The activities of the ABPD conform to the “Requirements for Recognition of Dental Specialties and National Certifying Boards for Dental Specialists” of the American Dental Association Council on Dental Education and Licensure.

Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a pediatric dentist has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills, and experience requisite to the delivery of quality care.
