APICS Certification Program
Note: All candidates are required to log in to the APICS website and complete the Authorization to Test (ATT) Request Form. An ATT is required in order to schedule an exam with Pearson VUE and is valid for one year from the date of issuance. After payment is applied, candidates will receive an ATT confirmation email from APICS with scheduling instructions and other exam-related information.

The APICS CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management) certification is recognized globally as the standard of professional competence in production and inventory control. Since 1973, over 100,000 professionals have earned the APICS CPIM designation.
The APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) program sets the standard for supply chain management certification. Developed in 2006, this professional designation is the most widely recognized educational program for operations and supply chain management professionals around the world.
Test Registration & Scheduling Information
To take a test, you must first complete the registration and payment process on the APICS website.
Once you have registered to take a test, you may immediately schedule your test appointment online 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. Test appointments are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
After you schedule your test appointment, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation email listing your selected test date and testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center. Please check this information carefully for any errors.

Rescheduling or Canceling a Test
To reschedule or cancel a test appointment, log in to APICS account and follow the instructions provided. Please make sure to follow all onscreen instructions to complete your reschedule or cancellation. Pearson VUE will send a confirmation email of your rescheduled test or cancelled test.

Rescheduling an exam online more than 24 hours prior to the testing date will result in a $30 (USD) rescheduling charge. Exams cannot be rescheduled less than 24 hours prior to the testing appointment time.
Any cancellation will result in voiding of the ATT and forfeiture of the exam fee paid to APICS. However, if you have already scheduled an exam and can no longer take it, you are encouraged to cancel the scheduled exam to free up the reserved seat for other examination candidates.
If you do not provide 24-hour advance notice, your exam will go into a “no show” status. You will forfeit any exam fees paid and will need to purchase a new ATT.
The following are acceptable reasons for missing your scheduled exam:
- A serious illness (either yourself or an immediate family member)
- A death in the immediate family
- A disabling traffic accident
- A court appearance or jury duty
- Unexpected military duty
If you miss your exam for any of these reasons, contact Pearson VUE immediately at 866-583-8949. You must request to have an incident opened to document the emergency situation. The call center representative will provide you with an incident number as well as a fax number to send in the required documentation. You must submit written documentation in order to have your request reviewed.
