To schedule, reschedule and cancel exam:
NEHA
The National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) offers the following credentials through its test vendor, Professional Testing (PTI):
- Registered Environmental Health Specialist/Registered Sanitarian (REHS/RS)
- Certified Professional-Food Safety (CP-FS)
- Certified in Comprehensive Food Safety (CCFS)
These marks of distinction assist both employers and the credentialed individual. Employers can be confident that a credentialed employee has acquired the knowledge necessary to competently perform their duties. Credentialed individuals may find positions easier to obtain, and may increase their earnings.
Code of Conduct Agreement
You will be required to affirm that you have read and accept the terms of the NEHA Code of Conduct Agreement onscreen before you will be able to schedule an appointment to take any NEHA exam. Please take a moment to review the terms of the Code of Conduct Agreement (PDF). If you choose not to accept these terms, you will not be allowed to schedule your exam.
Application information
Before scheduling an examination appointment with Pearson, you must have already:
- applied for the credential through NEHA;
- paid all corresponding fees to NEHA; and
- received an Authorization-to-Test email from NEHA
For additional information, visit the NEHA website or contact NEHA at 303-756-9090, extension 310.
Scheduling your exam appointment
NEHA will notify the individual after the application has been processed, which can take four to six weeks, of their eligibility status. If an individual is approved to test he/she will be sent an authorization letter. Your Authorization‑to‑Test (ATT) email includes the date range in which you can take your exam. You are responsible for booking your appointment within that timeframe. Exam appointments can be scheduled up to one business day in advance, and test center availability is offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
Create your Pearson account
You will need a Pearson account before you can schedule your exam. When creating your account, use the same name, phone number, and email address that you provided to in your application. You will also be asked to enter your 20‑character PTI ID.
If you experience any issues with your account, the quickest way to connect with a customer service agent is through the chat feature available on this page.
Schedule, reschedule, or cancel your appointment
You are responsible for managing your own exam appointment. Appointments can be scheduled up to one business day in advance, and test center availability is offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
After you schedule
Once your appointment is confirmed, Pearson will send you a confirmation email that includes your exam date and time, the test center address, and important policies to review before test day.
You will receive a confirmation email whenever you schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment. This will be the only confirmation email you will receive (i.e. no reminder email).
If you do not receive a confirmation email, please sign in to your Pearson account to verify your appointment status.
Reschedule or cance
To cancel or reschedule, you must contact Pearson no less than 24 hours in advance.
