Pennsylvania Educator Certification Tests

In 2010, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) began collaborating with the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson to deliver the Pennsylvania Educator Certification Tests (PECT) program, which provides teacher certification tests for prospective Pennsylvania educators.

The PECT were developed in alignment with Pennsylvania regulations and standards, including the Pennsylvania Program Framework Guidelines and the relevant Pennsylvania Academic Standards. The PDE has contracted with the Evaluation Systems group of Pearson to assist in the development and administration of the tests.

Visit the PECT website to register, pay for your exam, and schedule, reschedule, or cancel your appointment. Appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and availability may vary.
