Society of Certified Senior Advisors (SCSA)

The Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® certification program is designed to recognize professionals who work often or almost exclusively with seniors by evaluating their ability to:

  • Identify seniors’ needs and issues accurately
  • Understand how seniors’ values and motivations affect their choices
  • Communicate and respond appropriately, effectively, and compassionately to seniors
  • Function as a resource for seniors to turn to for help with their concerns and problems

Application information

Before you schedule an exam appointment, make sure you have:

  • completed your application and
  • received your Authorization‑to‑Test (ATT) email from SCSA.

For more information, visit the SCSA website or contact SCSA at 1-800-653-1785.

Scheduling your exam appointment

Your Authorization‑to‑Test (ATT) email includes the date range in which you can take your exam. You are responsible for booking your appointment within that timeframe.

Create your Pearson account

You will need a Pearson account before you can schedule your exam. Please allow up to 24 hours for your account to be activated. When creating your account and booking your exam, have your SCSA candidate ID number ready. This ID appears in the ATT email you received after completing your application and should be entered as your PTI ID.

If you experience any issues with your account, the quickest way to connect with a customer service agent is through the chat feature available on this page.

Schedule, reschedule, or cancel your appointment

You are responsible for managing your own exam appointment. Appointments can be scheduled up to one business day in advance, and test center availability is offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

After you schedule

Once your appointment is confirmed, Pearson will send you a confirmation email that includes your exam date and time, the test center address, and important policies to review before test day.

You will receive a confirmation email whenever you schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment.

If you do not receive a confirmation email, please sign in to your Pearson account to verify your appointment status.
