American Board of Dental Public Health Qualifying Examination

The American Board of Dental Public Health (ABDPH) is one of the dental specialty boards recognized by the American Dental Association. Certification by the American Board of Dental Public Health demonstrates that a dentist has the required education, specialized knowledge, and skills to earn board certification in dental public health. It also demonstrates commitment to the field through continuing education focused on emerging and established Dental Public Health issues.

The Qualifying Examination is the first examination of the two-part certification process for Diplomate status. The Qualifying Exam must be successfully completed before the candidate can apply to challenge the Certifying Exam.   

Scheduling

After ABDPH approves your application, you will be sent an authorization to test (ATT) email from Pearson. First-time test takers must create a Pearson account. To schedule an appointment, Log in.

After you schedule your test, Pearson will send a confirmation letter listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.
