The American College of Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics (ACHI)
The American College of Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics (ACHI) is affiliated with the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) operating as a function of ASHI’s Professional Standards Division to evaluate the education, training and experience of professionals in the field of histocompatibility and immunogenetics for eligibility to take its professional examinations and to practice in histocompatibility and immunogenetics in the United States and Internationally. The ACHI, in coordination with Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) develops and administers professional credentialing exams for doctoral (fellow/formerly diplomate) and non-doctoral (CHS, CHT and CHA) candidates.

Testing Accommodations
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and equivalent Canadian provincial acts, the ACHI makes reasonable testing arrangements for candidates with documented professionally diagnosed disabilities. Scheduling Your Exam
Once your exam registration application has been approved by the ACHI, you will receive an email with instructions on how to schedule your exam. Exam dates for the ACHI Certification Exams are determined annually.

About the Exam
- The exam time includes all components of the exam, including the introduction, tutorial, and answering and reviewing exam questions.
- The ACHI examination is available in English.
- Upon completion of the test, you will receive a printed score report indicating pass or fail.
Exam Delivery Methods
ACHI currently offers two options for exam delivery:
- Test Center Delivery: Exams can be taken at Pearson VUE’s worldwide network of testing centers.
- OnVUE Online Proctoring: Candidates may schedule their exam for a specific date and time and take it from a secure, qualifying location using a computer. Learn more about OnVUE Online Proctoring to understand the process and technical requirements.
Rescheduling or Canceling Your Exam
Exams can be rescheduled or canceled by clicking the "Sign in" or "Create account" buttons above. Rescheduling or canceling must be made at least ten days (10 days) before the exam is scheduled to be taken. No refunds will be given when a cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before exam day.
