Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists (ACSS)

The Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists offers an examination that addresses knowledge and skills common to all sanctions professionals in varied employment settings, including financial institutions, international corporations, law firms, consulting companies, government, and other trades and businesses. The objective of the certification program is to set the standard for the sanctions profession, and to make Certified Sanctions Specialists (CSS) widely recognized as trained and credentialed specialists in the sanctions field. It is a multiple-choice, proctored exam that can be taken in testing centers across the globe.

Non-Disclosure Agreement

You will be required to affirm that you have read and accept the terms of the ACSS Non-Disclosure Agreement onscreen prior before beginning your exam. The agreement reads: “I will not disclose or provide to anyone orally, electronically, or in any other format, information about the content of this examination. I understand that all documents and examination questions are, and shall remain, the exclusive property of ACSS.” If you do not accept these terms, then you will not be allowed to take the exam.

Prior to scheduling an examination appointment, you must register with the ACSS to take the exam by visiting the ACSS registration page.

Scheduling

ACSS will notify the candidate after the registration has been processed, which normally takes 1-2 days, of their eligibility status. When a candidate is approved to test, then s/he will be sent an authorization e-mail which will include your candidate ID. You will need to schedule your exam at least 72 hours in advance and, should you wish to cancel or reschedule, you must contact Pearson VUE no less than 72 hours in advance.
