About Cardano Blockchain Certified Associate (CBCA)

The Cardano Foundation, the Swiss-based not-for-profit organization advancing blockchain as a public digital infrastructure across a wide range of industries, is offering the first professional certification for its Cardano Academy. The certification provides industry recognition of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and proficiency in both blockchain and Cardano.

The candidate will obtain certification issued by the Cardano Foundation after they successfully pass a CBCA exam in an authorized test center.

Exam booking

There is a charge of $99 to sit the exam. Please create an account and obtain a Candidate Testing ID (CPI ID). If you already have a CPI ID, please log in to your account and follow the exam registration procedure.

You can make an exam appointment in advance for any available date. If exam slots remain available, you can also do so on the same day you wish to take the test.

Exam Preparation

The following areas will be tested on the exam:

• Introduction to Blockchain
• Advanced Blockchain Concepts
• Cardano Blockchain
• Getting Started with Cardano

Although not a requirement, the Cardano Foundation recommends anyone wishing to take the exam to complete the Cardano Blockchain Certified Associate (CBCA) course. The course content will take students through all the topics covered on the exam. The candidate can sign up for the free CBCA course at the Academy’s website. The candidate can also access an exam preparation guide which contains sample questions and practice questions to prepare for the exam.

Result & Certificate

The candidate’s exam result will be displayed on the screen shortly after finishing the exam. Additionally, the candidate will receive both the exam result and the certificate via email.

Retake policy

There is no limit to the number of retakes of a failed exam. Once passed, it is not allowed to retake the same version of that exam.
