CCGP - Certified Corporate Governance Professional (CCGP)

Corporate governance has never been more essential to a company’s success, reputation and to the stability of our business and economic system. The profile of corporate governance professionals has been heightened in recent years and roles are increasingly prominent and broad. Governance professionals meeting eligibility requirements via a combination of experience and education and who pass a certification test will become a CCGP - Certified Corporate Governance Professional (CCGP). This program has been developed by the Society for Corporate Governance with input from many corporate governance experts to meet rigorous national accreditation standards.

The CCGP defines the knowledge requirements of a governance professional. Individuals who earn the CCGP designation will have demonstrated their knowledge in the area of corporate governance. The CCGP test is offered through PTI, our testing partner, at Pearson VUE computer-based testing locations in the United States and U.S. Territories.

Application information

Before scheduling a CCGP exam with Pearson, you must have already:

1. reviewed eligibility requirements;
2. applied to take the test;
3. filled out the CCGP Code of Professional Conduct and returned it with your application;
4. paid the applicable fee; and
5. received an Authorization-to-Test email from the CCGP.

Scheduling your test

Scheduling your exam appointment

Your Authorization‑to‑Test (ATT) email includes the date range in which you can take your exam. You are responsible for booking your appointment within that timeframe.

Create your Pearson account

You will need a Pearson account before you can schedule your exam. When creating your account, use the same name, phone number, and email address that you provided to CCGP in your application. You will also be asked to enter your 20‑character PTI ID.

Schedule, reschedule, or cancel your appointment

You are responsible for managing your own exam appointment. Appointments can be scheduled up to one business day in advance, and test center availability is offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

After you schedule

Once your appointment is confirmed, Pearson will send you a confirmation email that includes your exam date and time, the test center address, and important policies to review before test day. 

You will receive a confirmation email whenever you schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment.

If you do not receive a confirmation email, please sign in to your Pearson account to verify your appointment status.
