Dental Core Training National Recruitment Office (DCTNRO) Certification Testing

The assessment is entitled “Dental Core Training Situational Judgement Test”. Once you have signed into your testing account you will be able to book a place (subject to availability).

If you require any reasonable adjustments to the assessment (for example extra time), please ensure you have requested this on your application form.

Once scheduled, you can choose to subsequently change your booking if required, by simply logging into your account and choosing ‘Reschedule’. You can reschedule (subject to availability) up until 48 hours before your booked appointment. If you are an applicant with a pre-approved reasonable adjustment that is not bookable online and wish to reschedule your test, please visit the Freshdesk portal.

If you book a place but decide not to attend, you must cancel your booking at least 48 hours before the assessment is due to be delivered.

The assessment will begin with a short tutorial to familiarise you with the controls and layout of the screens and will end with a short evaluation questionnaire. See the Pearson demo test to access the testing tutorial.

Once you’ve booked your test, you’ll receive an automated appointment confirmation email to your registered email address.

If you do not receive confirmation, log back into your Pearson account to confirm you completed the booking process in full.

You will be required to present one form of original (no photocopies), valid (unexpired) government issued ID that includes your name, photograph, and signature. The first and last name that you used to register must match exactly the first and last name on the ID that is presented on test day. NB: if you have a disability and have been pre-approved for a time extension your allotted appointment slot time will be increased, and the approximate total appointment duration will be indicated in the confirmation email you receive upon scheduling the appointment. Extra time is not added to the tutorial or survey. The allotted time is displayed in the corner of the screen when you start the SJT section.
