Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators® (GACE®)

The Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators (GACE) is Georgia's state-approved educator certification assessment program. The purpose of the GACE assessments is to help the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) ensure that prospective educators have the knowledge and skills needed to perform the job of an educator in Georgia's public schools.

Assessment Registration & Scheduling Information

Registration

To take an assessment, you must first complete the registration and payment process at the GACE program website: www.gace.es.pearson.com. Registration for GACE assessments begins July 1, 2025.

Scheduling

Once you have registered to take an assessment, you may schedule your assessment appointment online 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. Assessment appointments are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

To schedule an assessment appointment, log in to your GACE account at the website noted above and select “schedule” on the current registrations page for the assessment you wish to schedule.

After you schedule your assessment appointment, Pearson VUE will send you a confirmation email listing your assessment date, your testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.

Rescheduling or Canceling an Assessment

To reschedule or cancel an assessment appointment, log in to your account at the GACE program website and follow the instructions provided on the current registrations page: www.gace.es.pearson.com.

Tutorial Preview

Before beginning the assessment, you will be given an on-screen tutorial that will show you how to navigate through the assessment, how to indicate your answers, and how to use the features of the computer-based assessment. A tutorial preview is available to help examinees prepare for the computer-based testing experience.
