IRATA International Examination

IRATA International Certifications are designed to help ensure individuals have the required knowledge and skills to successfully and safely undertake their rope access activities.

Get certified from your home or office

Take your IRATA International exam conveniently from home through OnVUE online proctoring. A live proctor will monitor you through the webcam on your workstation to provide a secure exam experience.

Scheduling

Exam appointments may be made in advance or on the day you wish to test, subject to availability and depending on the exam that you wish to take. The exam/appointment testing time limit noted on Pearson VUE web pages reflects the total appointment time, including an NDA, exam time, and survey.

IRATA International Certification Exams and Exam Preparation

IRATA International Certification exams are components of IRATA International Certification schemes. The exams are computer-based assessments of knowledge, competencies, and skills using the following formats:

  • Multiple choice (single and multiple answers)
  • Image display multiple choice
  • True or false
  • Missing word
  • Drag and drop

Accommodations

Accommodations are any modifications made to tests or testing conditions that allow students with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or limited English-language ability to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a testing situation. As standard, if English is not your first language you will be given an additional 50% of the time limit to complete your exam. IRATA International Certification Program Agreement

Prior to starting an IRATA International Certification exam, you will be asked to agree to the terms and conditions of the IRATA International Certification Program Agreement.

Exam Retake Policy

You must contact Pearson VUE or access your online Pearson VUE account to reschedule your exam at least a minimum of 48 hours prior to your appointment. Exams cannot be rescheduled less than 48 hours prior to your appointment. Failure to reschedule in time or failure to appear for your appointment will result in the forfeiture of your exam fee.

Unless otherwise stated by IRATA International, invitation only exams are not eligible for retakes.
