Marshall Wace Quantitative Assessment — Candidate Information

You will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA) before taking the assessment. This protects the content of the test and any information shared during subsequent stages of the recruitment process.

Each exam will contain 18 questions. For each question, you will receive:

• 2 marks for a correct answer
• -1 mark for an incorrect answer
• 0 marks for any questions that are unanswered

You will not receive a breakdown of your scores at the end of the exam. Marshall Wace will be in touch with feedback.

You have one opportunity to rebook your assessment, provided you give at least 48 hours notice before your scheduled test date. If you fail to attend your assessment or provide less than 48 hours' notice of a cancellation, your application will be closed.

The following items will be provided for you at the Pearson test centre:

• Reusable notepad and a marker

You are not permitted to take any personal items into the exam room. All belongings must be stored in the lockers provided.

During the check-in process at Pearson-owned centres we make use of scanning equipment for the detection of prohibited devices, and if anyone has any objections to this step, on medical or religious grounds, they should contact the exam sponsor to ask about a waiver to skip this part of the security process.

An additional 30 minutes of extra time is available for candidates who have a diagnosed condition such as dyslexia or another learning difference. Extra time is only available if you declared your requirement on your original application. If you did not include this when you applied, extra time cannot be arranged.

If you need to bring a medical device into the exam room — such as a personal diabetes manager — please let the Marshall Wace recruitment team know in advance and we will notify Pearson to make the necessary arrangements.
