Scheduling
The Advanced Sommelier Theory examination will be offered at a Pearson VUE testing center or an authorized Pearson VUE third-party testing center. The designated testing center may or may not be conveniently located in your city. As a result, candidates may need to travel to secure a suitable location at the assigned time for the examination.
In North, Central and South America, the examination will take place on February 22, 2024. For those living in South Korea and other Asia countries, a separate examination will take place on March 19, 2024 to accommodate the significant number of eligible students in this time zone.
Candidates living in North, Central and South America:
- Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM Pacific Time / 2:00 PM Eastern Time, or the equivalent in your time zone.
- Even though the system will offer multiple time options, Advanced Sommelier Theory examination candidates must schedule for 11:00 AM Pacific Time / 2:00 PM Eastern Time, or the equivalent in your time zone.
- If you sign up for an alternate time, your registration will be invalid.
Candidates living in South Korea and other Asian Countries:
- March 19, 2024 at 9:45 AM Korean Standard Time for those in Seoul, South Korea and at 9:00 AM Singapore Standard Time for those in Singapore.
- The CMS-A and Pearson VUE will take care of scheduling candidate residing in South Korea and other Asia countries for the Advanced Sommelier Theory examination.
Appointments for the Advanced Sommelier Theory examination at a Pearson VUE center or authorized Pearson VUE third-party testing center, for those living in North, Central and South America, need to be scheduled in advance and are contingent upon availability.
Appointment scheduling with Pearson VUE will be open from Wednesday, January 3 through Wednesday, January 31, 2024; we encourage you to schedule your exam as soon as possible so that you can secure a seat at the nearest center to you. If the center located closest to you is not immediately available, we suggest booking the next closest and continuing to check back to see if a closer center releases additional seats.
The time limit for the Advanced Sommelier Theory examination includes a NDA, the exam time, and a survey. Candidates should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment.
