Test Delivery Options
Python Institute certification exams available through Pearson VUE offer flexibility and convenience. Candidates can choose to take their exam:
- At a test center — in a secure, professional environment at an authorized Pearson VUE location.
- Online with OnVUE — remotely from a quiet, private space using Pearson VUE’s online proctoring system.
Both options maintain the same structure, integrity, and security standards.
Purchasing Your Exam
You can purchase a Python Institute certification exam in one of two ways:
- Through the OpenEDG Store: Visit the OpenEDG Store to buy an exam voucher for your chosen Python Institute certification. Each voucher can be used to schedule an exam through Pearson VUE, either at a test center or online with OnVUE.
- Directly through Pearson VUE: Sign in or create your Pearson VUE account, select the desired Python Institute exam, and complete payment during registration. You can then choose your preferred delivery option — at a test center or online with OnVUE.

Scheduling Your Exam
You can schedule your Python Institute certification exam with Pearson VUE at any time — either through your Pearson VUE account or by visiting the Schedule Your Exam with Pearson VUE page for detailed instructions and support. When scheduling, you can choose to take your exam at a test center or online with OnVUE.
Exam Policies and Integrity
All candidates must follow Pearson VUE and program-specific testing rules, including the Candidate Agreement and Code of Conduct.
