Security Awareness and Culture Professional (SACP)
Coordinated through Professional Testing (PTI)

Security Awareness and Culture Professional (SACP)™

H Layer credentialing certifies professionals who work as security awareness leaders. The foundational certification is the Security Awareness and Culture Professional (SACP) credential. In essence, these professionals are responsible for creating and maintaining a human layer of cybersecurity.

The SACP certification validates and gives confidence to both Industry professionals and the clients they serve. Members of the public and users of security awareness programs can be confident that SACP professionals are knowledgeable of all facets of security awareness programs and maintain the highest professional standards.

Application information

Before you schedule an exam appointment, make sure you have:

  • completed the online application
  • paid the designated fee
  • received your Authorization‑to‑Test (ATT) email from The HLayer

For additional information, visit the The HLayer website or contact the certification team at certification@thehlayer.com.

Scheduling your exam appointment

Once you receive your Authorization‑to‑Test (ATT) email, you can schedule your exam appointment. Your ATT email includes the date range in which you are eligible to test, your exam module, and your 20‑character candidate ID (PTI ID). Please have this information ready when scheduling.

Create your Pearson account

You will need a Pearson account before you can schedule your exam. When creating your account, use the same name, phone number, and email address that you provided to The HLayer in your application. You will also be asked to enter your 20‑character PTI ID.

If you experience any issues with your account, the quickest way to connect with a customer service agent is through the chat feature available on this page.

Schedule, reschedule, or cancel your appointment

You are responsible for managing your own exam appointment. Appointments can be scheduled up to one business day in advance, and test center availability is offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

After you schedule

Once your appointment is confirmed, Pearson will send you a confirmation email that includes your exam date and time, the test center address, and important policies to review before test day.

You will receive a confirmation email whenever you schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment.

If you do not receive a confirmation email, please sign in to your Pearson account to verify your appointment status.

Name‑matching requirement

If the first or last name in your registration does not match your photo ID, please email certification@thehlayer.com for assistance.
