ABAI Certification Testing

The purpose of certification by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) is to provide assurance to the public and the medical profession that a certified internist or pediatrician has successfully completed an accredited educational program and an evaluation, including an examination, and possesses the knowledge, skills and experience requisite to the provision of high-quality patient care in allergy and immunology.

Scheduling your exam appointment

Create your Pearson account

You will need a Pearson account before you can schedule your exam. Please allow up to 24 hours for your account to be activated. When creating your account and booking your exam, have your Client Candidate ID number ready. This number will be provided to you by your certifying board,

Schedule, reschedule, or cancel your appointment

You are responsible for managing your own exam appointment. Appointments can be scheduled up to one business day in advance, and test center availability is offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Log in to your Pearson account to manage your appointment.

After you schedule

Once your appointment is confirmed, Pearson will send you a confirmation email that includes your exam date and time, the test center address, and important policies to review before test day. 

You will receive a confirmation email whenever you schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please sign in to your Pearson account to verify your appointment status.
