BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test Certification Testing

The “BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test" measures the Japanese language communication skills required for business situations. These skills refer to the ability to clearly explain a situation in Japanese to people who come from a different background or area of expertise, or to promote a project while asking questions to the other party about points which require clarification. In addition, this ability includes not only verbal communication skills, but the ability to understand and use Japanese with the aid of text, diagrams, photographs and any other available information in emails or faxes, etc., and to appropriately perform tasks suited to a business setting.

The test takes about 2 hours, and there are 80 questions. The results of the test are represented by a score of 0 - 800 points. In addition, there are six ranks (J5 to J1+), depending on the score, which are given as a measure of ability.
