Cisco Announces Updates to the CCIE Lab and Written Exam
Effective February 1, 2009, Cisco will introduce a new type of question format to CCIE Routing and Switching lab exams. In addition to the live configuration scenarios, candidates will be asked a series of four or five open-ended questions on the computer screen, drawn from a pool of questions based on the material covered on the lab blueprint. No new topics are being added.
Candidates will also see two other changes to the CCIE written exams. Beginning February 17, 2009, candidates will be required to answer each question before moving on to the next. Furthermore, candidates will no longer be allowed to skip a question and come back to it at a later time. Finally, there will be an update to the overall score report. The overall exam score and the exam passing score will now be reported on a scale from 300–1000.

Cisco Launches New CCIE Wireless Certification and CCIE Voice Lab Exam Enhancements
The new Cisco CCIE Wireless certification assesses and validates wireless expertise. Candidates who pass the CCIE Wireless certification exams demonstrate broad theoretical knowledge of wireless networking and a solid understanding of wireless local area networking (WLAN) technologies from Cisco, the market leader in WLAN technology.
The refreshed CCIE Voice Lab Exam v3.0 addresses critical skills that voice professionals need to help companies increase productivity and speed innovation, such as the ability to define integrated network services and mitigate future performance problems.

Account Manager
Cisco Account Manager exams verify the knowledge and skills of account managers and sales professionals who position Cisco solutions to their customers. Specific Cisco Account Manager exams are required for individuals interested in obtaining a Cisco Sales Expert designation or fulfilling sales oriented job roles within Cisco Partner Specializations.
Networking Academy
The Cisco Networking Academy Program provides skills students need to work in IT fields. The program offers Web-based content, online assessment, hand-on labs, instructor training, and preparation for industry certifications.
Networking Academy Vouchers and Promotion Codes
If you are new to testing with Pearson VUE, please make sure to have your Academy Connection ID and Academy Connection username available when you register for your exam. Your voucher or promotion code will not work without these two pieces of information.
If you have tested with Pearson VUE before, please contact customer service in your region or an authorized test center before continuing so that your profile is updated with your Academy Connection ID and Academy Connection username.
Cisco requires this information from all Networking Academy students in order for their test results to count toward certification. If you have questions, please refer to the email instructions you received from the Cisco Networking Academy.
