Tokyo, Japan, April 23, 2013 — Hitachi has entered into a computer-based test delivery agreement with Pearson VUE Japan to deliver an engineer certification program that is associated with Hitachi’s Integrated Systems Management Software, Job Management Partner 1. Engineers that belong to this software’s user companies and partner companies will be enabled to take this associated Engineer Certification Exam at Pearson VUE test centres across the country from May 2013.
Hitachi’s IT Platform Engineer Certification Program is established as a program that officially certifies role-specific technical skills and sales skills essential for handling Job Management Partner 1 and Hitachi’s other IT platform products. Amongst them, the Engineer Certification Program specifically associated with Job Management Partner 1, which is the leading Integrated Systems Management Software in the domestic market, has produced over 30,000 certified engineers to date. Consequently a large number of candidates are making advances in their careers through acquiring this certification.
Currently Pearson VUE test centres give candidates greater access to certification, allowing them to schedule exams in real time and arrange exams up until one day before the date of testing. Up to 150 sites across the country, located in all 47 prefectures, will be available for the candidates. These merits, along with enhanced security features, will be sequentially provided to the candidates through this agreement.
Tatsundo Aoshima, General Manager of Integrated Platform Systems Development Operation, Information & Telecommunication Systems Company, Hitachi, Ltd., said: “This agreement will allow us to provide easier access to testing opportunities to our wide range of candidates of Job Management Partner 1 user companies and partner companies as they look to advance their careers. Through the partnership with Pearson VUE who has the proven track record in the global market, Hitachi will further grow the number of certified engineers by improving availability to test center locations for candidates. Hitachi will further evolve the certification program and accelerate the global expansion of Hitachi IT platform products.”
Tomofumi Matsubayashi, Representative Director and CEO of Pearson VUE Japan, added: “This agreement is further evidence that the Japanese IT community continues to place great value in certification and its global expansion. We are proud to use our world-leading experience and industry knowledge to help Hitachi achieve its goals, across Japan and beyond.”
